The Italians are the defense masters of the footballing world and are deadly on the counter... Boasting class and quality in every part of the pitch but they have found it difficult to score against their opponents.... The new "Vieri" Luca Toni has been impressive but his finishing has not brought in goals for the team...
The key player for the squad is definitely Francesco Totti... the impact he brought to the game when he came on against the aussies is big... The italians only started playing proper soccer when he came on and his calm composure and leadership up front will be needed as their starting strikeforce does not have much big match experience...
They were extremely lucky to come out with a victory over the assies with a last 5 seconds doubious penalty but who noes? maybe luck is with them for this WC to make up for the off field messy scandals they have back in their homeland... Even with materazzi(red card) and maybe nesta(injury) out the world class bench have enuff defenders to replace them easily...

Ukraine despite being renowned for their offence has actually not let in any goals for their last 3 games although they were very lucky that despite not performing well and playing shittily for the past 2 matches they are still in the WC but it is due to their opponents playing equally shitty then playing good shit soccer...
Sheva is the man that will be tasked to break down the italian castle... a player who has won world player of the world accolade and just went to chelsea for 30million pounds(around SGD$90million) needs no introduction... skillful, talented, always scoring wherever he goes... However he has yet to perform to the best of his abilties yet but playing in italy he should have some ideas of hw to breach the italian defence...
The bench is relatively unknown and it is to be seen if they can keep out the italian offence... They have the disadvantage of playing 30 more minutes than the italians and fatigue is a killer as it often leads to mistakes @ the back...
Prediction:-
Italy is simply too strong for ukraine if they feel like playing properly and if totti does play.. however sheva's name alone is worth a goal...

Apart from France n Ukraine the rest finished top of their groups and in a world cup lacking suprises it is not a suprise to see all the traditional powerhouses still in the competition..

Their defence still looks suspect though and they were lucky that sweden did not take their chances... With the support of the home crowd and clinical finishing from their deadly strikers they are able to overcome their weakness to march into this stage...
Klose with 4 goals and Podolski with 3 have formed a deadly partnership upfront and with an attacking minded midfield supporting them chances are bound to be in abudunce and the striking pair seems to have hit top form just in time for this WC... There are many tall players in the team who can head well too and this is a deadly weapon as well...
Germany's seems to lack quality on the bench and apart from its first XI there are no real threats that can be thrown in when the goin gets tough and the first teamers runs out of ideas...

Argentina came through the group of Death unbeaten conceding only 1 goal and impressed the whole world with their brand of soccer in their 6-0 demolition of S & M... their solid defence impressive teamwork and build up play has made them strong favorites to lift the cup for the fourth time in the history...
Many members of the squad have played with one another since the U-21 youth World Cup days and are very familiar with each other's playing style... The slow but highly talented Riquelme has matured and has emerged as the country's new no.10 spraying through passes effortlessly and his vision has created many goals in this competition so far The midfielders have been scoring goals too such as Maxi Rodrigues with 3 goals including the wonder stirke that sent Mexico packing and of coz Cambiasso with one of the goals of the WC...
The bench is very strong, Tevez, Messi, Aimar just to name a few are filled with world class players that can easily walk into many of the national teams and start as the XI...However they are not unbeatable and they show that they are quite vulnerable @ defending setpieces especially high balls as they are not really dat good @ headings...

Seating:- Top Left Hand corner
The show started roughly abt 9pm and the introduction was a bit too long and draged too long... by the time the show started i was starting to yawn... Overall It was not a bad show although it was not outstanding, the singing was good... the dancing could be better thou but it was enjoyable...
Could be due to his prolonged stay in Taiwan thats y he his tone of speech sounds more like a taiwanese more than a Singaporean which was quite irritating @ times... We're all from the same country we should speak our national language(Singlish) more... Y use taiwan standard chinese in your own country?...
There was not enuff interaction wif the fans to make it a truly memorable one for them as the whole show he just sing tok cok a bit sing n sing n sing n sing and then sing n sing... no poster throwing, go down shake hand, no ask ppl come up to pak game totally just like watching a secy sch concert just sit there n listen is all that is required...
The "encore" was also funny as he nv said it was his last song and only wave his hand in a bye bye manner then everyone assume the show ended liao and shouted encore.... then the "encore" also looked very much rehersed as he came back out with a song in a new costume and dancers as well with is quite strange as i tot encore is suppose to be the singer comming out asking the audience what they wanted to hear??
To round off the concert, he sheded some manly tears @ the end of singing "Zhi Dui Ni Shuo" during the "encore" and rounded up by belting out jiang nan as his last song...

Pitch: Cement with a puddle of water @ the freethrow area
Rules:- First Goal wins, No offside. No Referees, No Red Cards, No foul throw, No cornerkick, No ball to hand once touch hand is Handball, 10 minutes to score, draw u go out!!
Hubbers Involved: me, yigogodali
Injuries substained:- Head (too many to count), Ankle (1), Knee (1), Blueblack right toe(Me)
The weather is extremely nice for todae's kick about session... However the injuries are in abundance todae... Team Iran suffered the most casualties and in the end only "beach" man the one who wore a hawaian shirt n sunglasses to play soccer and "Mascherano"(Number 8) were the only 2 members of the team to go back w/o injuries...
It was one of the worst soccer performance i put out todae, totally disgusting, can't control the ball well, pass sala, nv shoot @ all, keep giving away possesion and of coz kanna lub in the head by a stinging shot getting seh & seeing stars and finally went home with a blueblack toe... Next time i should get more slp time before goin for soccer...

Brasil, Kaka, Japan, Jy, Kelly & More
Working OT for 3 straight days is no joke, stress balls are useless and squeezing them do not make our stress go away... Learning to act busy when you are actuallly not is a kind of skill that is easily mastered and yet it is essential to one's survival in the office...
Acting busy or AB in short is an art and it is something i have to do for the past few days as performing OT while having limited things to do is one of the toughest task i have ever encountered in my limited lifespan and seriously staring @ space doesn't help much... That's why i'm bloggin @ office right now...
Yesterday went to watch my first world cup match in a pub Brasil VS Japan with Yigogodali, Xiao Xiao de & Mr J.... While waiting for Xiao Xiao de & Mr J to arrive, me n Yigogodali heard some commotions comming from a tentage near the PS Mac and we went over to check it out and discovered that some "superstars" are having a small sound testing for tmr's yes933 event...
Managed to hear and see JY n Kelly Poon in action up close and personal with about 5 other ppl... It was a pity that my camera is not with me if not i would have a video of their singing and their pictures in this space already hahaz... Kelly seriously bears some resemblance to Auntie V especially they are both skinny and wear simillar specs hahaz...
After Xiao Xiao de and Mr J arrived we headed down to CQ to search for an ideal place to watch the match... Finding a cozy place to watch a soccer match is like finding a perfect soccer pitch to play soccer in... Just like tak giu we roam around to no avail and decided to head to BQ and it was @ BQ we finally found a place which everyone of us was satisfied with..
It was a pulsating match full of attacking action from the talented brasilianz which included a cameo appearance from Mr MasterCard Pele too.... There were many aussies there too watching the other match between the kangaroos and croats...
Brasil won 4-1 in the end and aussies goes to the 2nd round with then after grinding out a stubborn 2-2 draw... Nice outing lets have another one in the near future... Joga Bonito this saturday!!!!

Midnite Madness~!~!
Doing Midnite shift has its cons and perks... it is more relaxing to work @ nite and you don't have to wake up so early just to come to work... however your time with your family and friends will be lessened as your schedules will clash and this could distance yourself with them...
Took many cab homes these few days here are some of my experiences...
Driver 1 - Total $21.15
Me:- Receipt only 19.15 leh uncle
Driver 1 (looks @ the receipt @ a very close distance):- Ya hor ok $19.15...
Driver 2:- This driver so far dun dare to turn driving skills no good
Me:- Yah..
Driver 2:- This one driving skills also no good red light so far slow down already..
Me:- Yah...
Driver 2:- This one also no good green light slow down to turn..
Me:- Yah...
Driver 2(goin @ 140km/h):- This one no good drive too slow still hog the right lane..
Me(not he wols lor is u speed lor):- Yah...

U Bet~!~!
Betting is one of singapore's favorite pastime... 4-D, toto, soccer, poker cards, majong, horse, dice.... anything u can name we will bet on it... Life is hard, money is hard to earn betting is one of the many and easier way to earn some money while having a bit of fun... World Cup is a very bz event not only for the soccer fans but also for the betters out there who are looking to make some quick $$$.....
Soccer betting although interesting is however harmful to ur wallet as many like me have burnt a hole in the wallet b4 and past experiences tells me that in the long run u are bound to lose no matter hw many matches u win, one or 2 bad results and ur winnings and capital will vanish faster then u can shout goal!!!!....
However placing a small amount of bet can enhance ur watching experience but placing too much $$ is harmful for your health and this explains y we have such a high rate of heart attack occuring.... Last minute goals, penalties and red cards are most likely the cause of heart attacks...
Heavy betting actually takes away the fun from watching a match... sometimes i wonder do ppl enjoy watching the match and bet for fun or do they watch only becoz they are betting... If its the latter then what is the fun in watching the match?? i would rather spend the $$ on roller coaster rides @ least its cheaper and i get the same heart attack feeling too...

Back @ Work~!~!
If i could describe today using a football match i would use Korea vs Togo as an example... It started badly but luckily it all went well in the end... just like the match where Korea came from behind to beat the "bo chup" Togo by 2-1....
Was supposed to work am shift today but dunnoe y woke up @ 6.30 then go back to sleep again in the end i was woken up by Mgunana's call @ 8.30 -_-!!!... Luckily was able to change my shift to mid all thanks to my kind TL.... But still felt bad coz this means that i can't keep my promise and go and watch the movies with the DM babies & others haiz...
Nonetheless i still joined them for break and we had a nice "shoot" time... hahaz... Apart from "shoot" i ate all my meals inside the office todae and just realised that i had mee for lunch n mee for dinner too *diaoz* but nvm i like to eat mee so bring on the mee hahaz...
Stayed back and did OT for 2 hrs and @ the same time managed to catch a bit of the Korea/Togo match in office and seriously i think pm shift ppl really got a lot of xtra things to do nowadaes... the xtra $10 is really getting more n more difficult to earn liao sianz lor...
Work is still sianz as usual and even though the air-con is not working very well nowadaes and u can actually sweat inside the office just by sitting down n type, the environment just feels colder then before... No more music, no more sound, not much toking either hmmm... everything looks right and fine but something just feels strange not really sure what issit though maybe the newer ppl are shy and dare not communicate with the older guys there and the older ppl are just comfortable sticking to their own circle ba....Haiz really missed those days when time in the office flies so fast unlike now everyday seems to be a long day and all we do is work & work & work....

End of "holiday"
Today marks the last day of my "9 days" rest from work and woahhhh the long layoff have virtually made me forgotten what it feels like to work already hahaz... I'm getting lazier and lazier as the days goes by... wanted to do many things todae yet nuttin has been done again haiz.... when will i get to finish the simple things that i always wanted to do?
I believed that lots of things have happened in the office while i was away which is always the case... missed the people in office, the joke and the luffters but not the work there and i'm 100% sure after so many days of not goin to work i'm gonna make a lot of stupid mistakes that is why i'm planning to go slow tmr to ensure that i will minimise my mistakes so that i won't make things difficult for my collegues....
Tmr should be a fun day coz there are plans to go shoot during lunch break hahaz... long time nv go shoot liao hahaz its time to do some shooting practise with fake guns after 1 week of holding real rifles... Heard that there are lots of OT to do while i was away and they were doing OT like mad of coz in the process they earned like mad and i think they will become mad too if the OT continues for a few more weeks hahaz... If i go back will there still be OT to do?? hmmm will go back and find that out tmr hahaz...
Managed to catch Superband today and the compeition's only accepella group has been given the boot *ouch*.... this means that 7 more groups are left in the competition and 1 of them is a step closer to being crowned as champion.... WC updates one of my fav team Holland has scraped past S & M 1 - 0, Iran lost to a superior Mexico 3 - 1 and the flamboyant protugese came up on top of Angola with a 1- 0 victory...

You have a Choice~!~!
Today's soccer was cancelled but even if it was not i wouldn't have made it anyway coz i slept like a pig after yesterday intensive soccer watching sessions... I regained conciousness after only 1+pm and spent the whole day watching tv and stuffs in my comp...
Managed to watch a bit of X2 on TV and it seems to me that the X francise is more than just a testerone filled action movie it also brings along a message to all those who are watching the movie...The show is talking about making choices be it right or wrong and choices are things that are everpresent in everyday's life...
From the moment you were born you are tasked to make choices everyday... some are easy and straight forward while others are complex and needs lots of analysis and thinking before a decision is to be made... every choice will end with a decision and every decision made will lead to more choices to make its just like a circle it goes round and round without an ending in sight...
Yes yes sometimes you will hear the occasional no choice leh deadline tmr must finish it, no choice leh dun work no $$$ leh... but actually they do have a choice just that if they do not finish the task or stop goin to work they will just have to face the consequences that will await them due to their decision... and consequences is one of the mega influence that "forces" us to make decisions that we do not enjoy to make...
There is no such thing as "no choice" in this world and making decisions could be a headache @ times but if there are no choices, everyone will be eating the same food, doing the same things and you will be having a life story that is the same as 1 billion others that are living on this planet...
Everyday is different becoz we make different decisions everyday such as choosing what time to wake up, what to eat, where to eat, who to eat with, what to do for today blah blah blah... the possibility of replicating exactly what you have done yesterday is virtually zero even if the tasks look similar, things will turn out differently...
Maybe this is the reason y bloggin is exploding @ such a fast rate coz everyday is different and special that is y everyone is rushing to record it down so that it stays with you when the memories starts to fade...
The result of the decision that you make, be it good or bad is something that you must accept and take... there is no room for regrets and "what if"... Just live with what you have decided and alter it along the way if there's a chance... time waits for no one and is too precious to waste on complaining about a mistake you have made... this is one of the rule i set out for myself and no regrets is how i wanna live my life...
To be able to do that is easier said then done... As humans we often ponder upon the "what if" and "if only".... especially when the decision does not turn out the way that we would have liked.... these questions are lethal and often makes us depress and disappointed... it saps the energy from you and makes you less confident and ultimately it makes you unhappy... Life is supposed to be fun and happy y do you wanna make life difficult for yourself and others??
Apart from your own parents and the colour of your skin, you have a choice in virtually anything.... Just like in X3 the mutants have a choice to choose if they wanna live a normal life or stay as what they are.... You too have a choice to choose if you wanna have a happy life or a gloomy one...

WC 06
Its nice to be back home its even better to be back just in time for the long awaited World Cup... managed to catch the first match between the germans and the costa ricans... It was an entertaining match which ended 4 - 2....
I also caught the match between england & paraguay which was dull and england seriously sucks, I also witnessed T & T heroic deeds against the mighty swedes getting a draw and 1 precious point in the process... I also saw argentina put 2 goals past the helpless Ivory Coast keeper in the first half before i couldn't take it any more and went home to sleep....
Apart from spending the nite watching soccer, in the afternoon i went for a mini shopping trip with buddy to town to upgrade my wardrobe as well as do some catching up... It seems that the GSS is still goin strong and i managed to get some stuff to make my wardrobe even fuller then before hmmm i do think its time to clear and make space so that more stuff can be added but i'm lazy to clean it up hahaz...
Didn't took any photos during my ICT which i should have done coz my camera is in USA now with death who had borrowed it from me for his US cum Taiwan trip hmmm seems like my camera is enjoying life more than me.. It has already been to Vancover and now USA and Taiwan in the past 1 yr and i have not gone overseas for 2 years already... -_-!!!

ICT 1 05/06/06 - 09/06/06
Just back from 5 days of low key ICT so its 1 down 9 more to go before i'm totally free from getting swarmed by mosquitoes and wearing camofludge...
Day 1 05/06/06
Took a cab to camp and was forced to take a hair cut as my hair was deemed to be "too long"... after that checked in and found out was assigned to company "C" instead of "SP" which i belonged during the active days... In the end my platoon was left with only 1 commander running the whole platoon as 1 was tasked to be the CSM, 4 defered, and i was assigned to "C"... Typical admin problems that always pops out in the first day i guess....
So went over to "C" and in the process saw sLip- aka Zhao an old irc friend whom i got to noe in poly days that i have not seen for a long long long long long long time hahaz what a small world... He was in atec in active days and was posted to the same reservist unit as me... apparently he was also posted to "C" and were are in the same platoon...
At the same time my PC was my BMT platoon mate and my trainer was my BMT OC *faints* of coz i also saw a lot of old frens from the active days ppl who had gone through the tuff chiong sua days while we were trainees in sispec n GCC...
The whole day was spent goin up and down the stairs to the bunk, training sheds, lecture halls blah blah to do revision of what we have learnt last time... At the end of the day i managed to get transfered back to "SP" a place i'm supposed to be.... And of coz "The Mouth" was very happy coz he has been running a 1 man show for the whole day and @ least he had some help now hahaz...
Day 2 06/06/06
The Omen starts todae and I did not sleep much as my stomach played punk the whole nite and the pain disturbed my rest by constantly waking me up @ regular intervals... The sun came up and the day started with IPPT... In pain I took and have cleared all the 4 static stations and was about to commence my 2.4km run when it was called off due to CAT 1 wdf sia waste my time and effort to do the stations.... oh well...
In the afternoon more training is to be completed and we went to "S oldiers I n W onderland" for our "arcade" practise... Being able to travel on a LSV is a privilage but travelling @ 50km/hr in the rain on the expressway in a LSV that doesn't have a roof is !#$^#@#@!#~!!....
The "arcade" practise went well but the rain didn't stop so we drove back in the rain again... Had our dinner and spent the nite preparing the vehicle for our "camping" trip for the next day... Feels just like atec again fix this fix that make sure got bring this n that haizz....
Day 3 07/06/06
My stubborn stomach refuses to give in and i had my 2nd nite of sleep was the same as the first... sleep and wake up, sleep and wake up, sleep and wake up wdf!!! Had to wake up @ 5.30 as we have to prepare stores and prep vehicles before moving out @ 7.30... but as usual delays delays and delays ment that we went out @ 8.30 instead although noone is complaining this time around...
Went to Lor Asrama a very small training ground to refresh our drills, and while having lunch saw my old PC who is now in OCS as a trainer waiting for his 3 Yr contract to end @ the same time also saw some of the old sispec trainers as well...
The whole training lasted till 10 and by the time we reached back camp it was already close to midnite... by the time i managed to get onto my bed it was already 2+ but luckily only need to wake up @ 10 tmr...
Day 4 08/06/06
Finally had a decent sleep.... the stomach problems had gone away... woke up @ 10 and had breakfast after that cleaned up the stores and vehicles and in the evening its time for IPPT again... This time I managed to finish and cleared everything and that means no need to take IPPT untill after my next b'dae wahhahaha....
Happy hour is the theme of the nite and went over to the mess and many many familiar faces such as our former RSM came over to spent the nite with us... We remencise the good old days and had our men's talk and virtually talked about everything under the sun... Of coz the endless supply of beer made the talk more enjoyable too... By the end of the nite i had finished 6 or 7 cans of beer and went to bed looking forward to booking out tmr...
Day 5 09/06/06
All good things must come to an end and the end is todae.... Woke up packed my stuff and settled the returning of items and stores back to the respective places.... The rest of the day was spent talking, surveys and waiting for outpro.... 3pm arrived and the time has come to part way with all the familiar faces which was my family for 2 ns years....
Till our next ICT we shall meet again in Dec 07....

Re-sir-visit~!~!
Didn't feel like waking up @ all todae but still have to drag myself up to make my final preperations and do all the packing... to my suprise my clothes that i hanged are already taken down and folded nicely liao thanks to my mummy... so good.. hahaz
Spent the rest of the day sleeping and waking up, packing, surf net, go buy things sleeping, waking up by the time i knew it it was already evening time already... time to prepare myself to make my journey to the west... going to my frens hse to stay coz the camp is in tuas and need to report by 7.30am?? hahaz
Going back to the rush to wait and wait to rush lifestyle that.... Gonna be away for 5 days.... cya guys in 5 days time...

Stone~!~!
Rsuhed to work again and was almost late again it seems like i just can't break the cycle of rushing rushing and rushing to work everyday seems the same to me hahaz... anyway todae's gonna be my last day of work be4 my "9 day break" from work...
Didn't sleep much yesterdae due to watching the late movie, the whole day was left stoning in front of the comp... Its a good thing that there are many things to do todae and time passes very quickly todae... be4 i knew it i'm off work already.... hahaz
Last minute mum called and say she didn't cook dindin todae ask me da bao go home eat haiz.... i hate to da bao go home and eat alone so after wrk went to eat dinner with 2 colleagues who were having their break hahaz... western food @ paradiz center food court is good value for money the serving is big yum yum...
After eating went home then by 10pm i'm already in dreamland liao so those who had msned me sorry for not replying you all ar hahaz...

X3~!~!
Rushed to work as usual.... Typical day @ wrk nutting new... after wrk went to catch X-Men 3 as death got 3 free tix so buddy and me went along so after wrk went over to my "fav" shopping centre PS to wait for them....
As usual buddy was late, and the movie started @ 9 and not 7.30 the time we are supposed to meet.... The 1 hr 40 mins movie felt very short as it was fast paced and full of actions from the very first minute... However there were many many characters in the movie that really doesn't do much except just to look pretty and handsome in the movie....
X-men fans should catch it.... and if you are going to catch it pls watch untill the credits are finished coz there is an unexpected short scene @ the end of the credits.... Overall I would give it a 3 out of 5...

Pc Show 06'
Went work as usual and had a new colleague G who is a friend of auntie 'V'... did all the same boring stuffs @ work as usual and after work went for Pc show 06' to look look see see and as usual it is very crowded but not as crowded as some of the previous shows i went to still got enuff space to manuvere...
The stuffs @ the show are relatively cheap and value for $$ for those who are looking to get computer cum entertainment products such as mp3 players, console games, Tv etc etc... you should get ur butt down there and squeeze in with the crowd....
And ya forgot to add the show will be untill 4 june and closes @ 8pm everyday....
